THE ARTIST: Agathe von Trapp, portrayed as "Liesl" in The Sound of Music, was the eldest daughter of Captain Georg von Trapp and Agathe Gobertina Whitehead. Agathe was a first soprano for the Trapp Family Singers, as well as a life-long talented artist of many mediums. Her original "Edelweiss" (c. 1947) is an etching.
